A short essay for the RUS 104
When i first came to HBP, I heard seniors said we will be sleeping very less time. After coming to HBP, for the first few projects, we still have sufficient sleeping time. Then for the continuous projects we will just have few hours sleeping time. I learnt a lot in HBP as it train us not only the skills to work in our major but also soft skills that will apply in the future during our jobs. The first sem is integrated studio that will mix all majors and studied together in same studio, therefore we will knew many people from other majors that will help us in future work. We also learn each and every major jobscopes that made us more understanding to the others. Although the studio we learn very less about Quantity Surveying stuffs, but we learnt a lot of architectual skills such as architectual lettering, perspective drawing and etc. Im very glad that we learn about the BQ method and price index method in calculating the cost of our pavilion. Last year seniors will just simply calculate the cost but now we need do the actual calculation for it. Last but not least, im glad that our QS bonding is quite strong and will help each other who are in need.
